[2]. 2008 MANDATORY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR NIPS MEMBERS

 

INTRODUCTION:

The Nigerian Institute of Professional Secretaries will be conducting Mandatory Professional Training Programmes for its members in 2008 and would appreciate your kind co-operation in approving their attendance of the courses on the date and venue stated against his or her name as per the attached grouping.
 

Many Organizations in the country today have had to assign higher roles and sometimes managerial responsibilities to the Secretaries and Personal Assistants. It is therefore imperative that their skills be constantly updated.

In order to effectively cope with these new challenges, the programme has been designed to enable our members acquire knowledge and skills that will improve their professional efficiency and managerial status.

 

 

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE MPTP:

1. To create a forum for sharing institutional and corporate experience in secretarial
    management and training

2. To equip members of the institute with technical skills and understanding in the
    discharge of professional duties.

3. To educate members on the implication of poor secretarial administration.


PROGRAMME FACILITATORS

Facilitators would be drawn from experienced professionals in Secretarial Practice and Management
with extensive experience in each subject areas.

1. The MPTP is compulsory for every member of the Nigerian Institute of Professional Secretaries.

2. Prospective members may also attend.

NOTE: 1. MPTP attracts 40 credit hours per year and is compulsory for all members

2. Members who do not earn up to 20 credit hours in a year stand the risk
    of their names being deleted from the membership register.

SEMINAR FEE: The Course Fee is N30,000.00 (Thirty thousand Naira only) per participant to cover tuition, tea/coffee break, lunch and seminar materials. All payments should be made in cash or Bank Draft payable to the Nigerian Institute of Professional Secretaries.
